The Insight programme combines presentations, Retail Vision videos, interviews and hosted store visits to the most innovative retail and petroleum formats. It also includes the Insight NACS International Convenience Retailer of the Year Award sponsored by Imperial Tobacco.

Insight NACS’ Future of Convenience 2012 event has been designed by retailers, for retailers; and will focus on four key themes. In a break from previous event formats, the two conference days will be introduced by retailers. Frank Gleeson, Retail Director at Topaz, and Noel Dunne, Centra store owner, will introduce each conference day and set delegates with challenges and goals surrounding the key themes.

They will be ably assisted by Insight MD Dan Munford and NACS president Hank Armour, who will interview key speakers and link the top themes. Event research partner, Nielsen, meanwhile, will make regular punch contributions to nail the themes with key facts and figures, relating these to consumer needs.

The four key themes across both days are:

  • Convenience and Petroleum Stores of the Future
  • Technology and Design to Drive Future Convenience Developments
  • Challenges and Opportunities in Coffee, Bakery, Hot Food-to-Go, Food for Later, Fresh
  • Convenience is the New Community Hub
