Seven-Eleven and Iwatani to open hydrogen fuel stations in Japan, Japan Times says

Seven-Eleven Japan Co. has joined energy company Iwatani in an effort to open convenience stores that will offer hydrogen for vehicles in Japan, the Japan Times reported in early December.

The plans include opening at least two stations next year, the newspaper said. Seven-Eleven also wants to use hydrogen from the stations to obtain power for the stores, the media added.

Seven-Eleven did not immediately reply to an email seeking confirmation. The information could not be immediately found on either the English web pages of Iwatani or of Seven Eleven.
