Denmark’s Clever expands EV network with 100 new chargers

Denmark-based Clever, an electric vehicle (EV) charging station operator, will expand its network in Denmark and nearby countries by adding 100 new chargers that will use Swiss-based ABB equipment, the companies announced in December.

Clever currently has 100 locations including both AC and DC chargers, according to a Clever and ABB joint press release available in ABB website.

“For EV consumers and network operators it is critical to have confidence that EV charging is as available, reliable and convenient as traditional mobility,” said Lars Bording, Clever CEO, according a to press release which also said Clever set up its EV national network in Denmark in 2012.

The network expansion being worked on together by ABB and Clever "demonstrates that the industry is moving to the next level of rapid expansion," added Otto Preiss, head of ABB's power conversion business.

Clever stations allow drivers to charge an electric vehicle within 30 minutes, according to the statement.
