Azerbaijan’s SOCAR to add its 31st filling station in Romania

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (Socar) said in a statement on December 15 that it has commissioned what will become its 31st filling station in Romania.

Last update:

The station will sell 95 and 98 octane gasoline as well as diesel fuels. The station will operate a Nar cafe as well as offer free wifi and a rest area, the company said. The company operates filling stations in more than 14 regions of Romania, it added.

The company, which has its headquarters in Baku, said earlier this month that it exported in November from Azerbaijan 60,477 ons of diesel fuel as well as 17,255 tons of aircraft gasoline.

Socar has said in the past that it is undergoing efforts toward a westward expansion in Europe of its fuel distribution. The company is one of the world's biggest hydrocarbon producers extracting resources in fields in the Azerbaijani section of the Caspian sea.
