Petronas unit picks X-Oil to distribute lubricants in Congo

Engen Petroleum, a South Africa-based company 80% owned by Malaysia’s national oil company Petronas, has selected X-Oil to distribute lubricants in Congo, according to invitations distributed in that country for a celebration of the event around mid January.

Engen operates in 20 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. Besides fuels and lubricant sales it also markets other products and services for the chemical, marine, mining, aviation and emission industries.

According to the web page of Lynx Energy Partners, they bought in 2011 the Kinshasa, Congo-based X-Oil “Congolese fuel distribution business”. Lynx has plans to expand X-Oil operations into new segments and countries in West Africa.
