Africa’s Vivo Energy introduces transparent LPG canisters

Vivo Energy Mauritius has introduced new LPG canisters which are lighter and transparent, the company said in a press release on January 28.

“We wanted to distribute domestic gas in more practical conditions,” said Kiran Juwaheer, the company’s general director.

The “composite” material canisters, which are seven kilograms lighter than the conventional metal ones, are manufactured by a company named Ragasco from Sweden which sells its products in some 60 countries.
The transparency makes it easy to see whether a refill would be needed. Unlike metal, the new material being used does not rust, the report said.
