Fuel Dispenser Line Emphasizes Design, Security and Advanced Technology

Wayne, a global innovator of fuel dispensers and technologies, announced the arrival of the Wayne Helix™ fuel dispenser line, emphasizing intelligent design, transaction security and advanced technology. Wayne developed Helix as the result of extensive research working closely with customers, retailers and users from around the world.

The Helix dispenser line by Wayne is a global platform on which all future Wayne dispenser models will be based. Three Helix fuel-dispenser models, designed to fulfill a wide variety of forecourt needs, are available at launch: the Helix 2000™, the Helix 4000™ and the Helix 5000™. Wayne will introduce the C-style Helix model, Helix 6000™, in 2013.

Wayne and IDEO, the renowned global design and innovation consultancy, worked together to conduct global market research and created Helix with insights from our customers, motorists and service companies.

The new dispenser line’s universal components, industry-leading metering and durable, high-quality materials deliver an appealing fueling experience, using advanced fuel-dispensing technology in a practical, appealing package.

Key features of the Wayne Helix fuel dispenser include:

  • Iconic look and universal design—Elements will set the stage for worldwide recognition and a consistent, reliable fueling experience.
  • Enhanced displays—High-contrast, ergonomically designed displays—including angled price displays above push-to-start buttons—are clearly labeled and easy for users to see, both day and night.
  • Strong retail branding—Expanded branding and signage areas are visible to motorists from multiple angles.
  • Secure dispenser components—Modular compartments lock independently. Robust U-frame inhibits unauthorized access to electronic head.
     

Wayne will be unveiling Helix fuel dispensers at Expo Postos & Conveniência in Rio de Janeiro, Automechanika in Frankfurt and the NACS Show in Las Vegas in August, September and October respectively. Orders will be accepted starting in early October.
