The mission of the federation BFT (Bundesverband Freier Tankstellen e.V.) is:
- to strengthen the economic sustainability of the independent mineral oil dealers;
- to keep upright a free-market economy in the mineral oil trade;
- to advise and represent the members in general, economic and social-legal subjects.
The member companies operate public petrol stations, mineral oil trading companies and, to a limited extent, fuel oil trading. In addition, there is a car dealership and / or a car repair shop at many gas stations. bft's market share is almost 15% (petrol station business). The number of employees at the filling stations currently totals 27,500 employees.

Good evening I was just wondering about the introduction of E10 in Germany ,we are introducing it in Ireland in the next couple of months.There is alot of concern expressed in the Irish media as to the damage it will course to older vehicles.i was wondering about the experience in Germany I would appreciate a reply thanks.
