SIGMA is the premier national trade association representing independent chain retailers and marketers of motor fuel, both branded and unbranded. A member-driven association, SIGMA enjoys the active participation of the same respected and prosperous entrepreneurs who are driving the evolution of the petroleum marketing industry.
Representing about 250 member companies, SIGMA’s mission is to benefit its members by ensuring a free and unencumbered economic environment for the fully competitive marketing of motor fuels. We exist to:
- Assure access to an adequate supply of competitively priced product
- Enhance members' ability to compete
- Provide an environment for the exchange of ideas and information along with opportunities to establish beneficial relationships between marketers
- Act as the legislative advocate in Washington for independent marketers
We accomplish these goals in service to our membership through informative, award-winning publications, strategic lobbying, legislative reporting and legal interpretations, industry research, political action initiatives, and educational opportunities offered in formal programs and informal networking sessions at our well-regarded conventions and conferences.
