PEI's 61st annual convention was held from 1st to 4th October 2011 in the windy city, Chicago. The PetrolPlaza video review is now online. It features interviews with leading suppliers of the industry and manufacturers of innovative new products and solutions that were showcased. We have also interviewed PEI’s Executive Vice President Bob Renkes, who gave us a short insight into this year’s event as well as an outlook on next year’s event, which will be held in Las Vegas.

The 2011 NACS Show saw a total of 22,312 attendees, up 1.5 percent from the 2010 show, according to final attendance numbers released by NACS.
Show activities included three days of general sessions, 53 educational workshops attended by 6,750 audience members, four training sessions and a Category Management Seminar. Select workshops were translated into Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese.
Additionally, the show featured a 387,000-plus net-square-foot exposition floor at which 1,333 companies exhibited. Of those companies, 324 were new to the show, and the Cool New Products Preview Room highlighted a record number of products, according to NACS.
The NACS Show, one of the 50 largest U.S. trade shows, has been held as an annual meeting since 1961 and as a full-scale expo since 1976.
The NACS Show is divided into six main product areas and PEI has partnered with NACS to assist with the Petroleum Equipment & Services area.
Registration opens April 1st.
PEI's 61st annual convention heads for Chicago's McCormick Place exhibition hall. PEI oversees the administration and marketing for the petroleum area of the NACS Show. Exhibit privileges in this area are open to all PEI Distributor, Manufacturer, Service & Construction, and Affiliate Division members.
The official PEI headquarters hotel will be the Sheraton Hotel & Towers.
