Brazil demand for diesel, gasoline, rose in third quarter of 2014, Petrobras says

Brazilian state oil company Petrobras released in late January the most recent financial statement discussion corresponding to the third quarter of 2014 and said that gasoline was having in that period a 5% year-on-year increase in demand while diesel demand was 2% higher.

The company reported a year-on-year increase in sales revenue which happened as the company was able to increase by 3% its volumes of sales of crude oil derivatives. Imports helped meet local demand for some crude oil and gas derivatives, the company said.

Total sales revenue for the period was 252.2 million reais, according to the statement.
