Engen introduces low sulphur diesel in Zimbabwe

Engen Petroleum, a South Africa-based company 80% owned by Malaysia’s national oil company Petronas which operates in over 20 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, has just introduced low sulphur diesel in Zimbabwe.

“As Africa experiences an economic resurgence, we must embrace progressive fuels that minimize our environmental impact,” said Cremion Mapfumba, managing director of Engen Zimbabwe, regarding the introduction of the 50ppm diesel, according to the statement.

The 50ppm fuel is already available at almost all Engen Zimbabwe service stations and by the end of this year it will be available at all of them, the company said.
