Russian Independent Fuel Union

Independent Fuel Union is a Russian union of owners of independent fuel stations. Until April 2016, it was called the unition of independent domestic oil traders.
Independent Fuel Union emerged as a reaction to the situation that the independent sector of the Russian fuel and energy complex has been facing for the last five years. This situation can be described as "critical". The discrimination from vertically integrated oil companies (VIOCs) and the short-sighted tax and regulatory policies of the state virtually kill independent retailers, mostly SMEs.
There are 38 companies in our Union. We should stick together and act together. Only organized collective actions will allow us to change something. To begin with, we should learn to talk and negotiate with each other; then both the state and the VIOCs will not be able to ignore us.
Our main task is the comprehensive and systematic legal protection of the interests of the independent sector.
