The coffee chain aims to deploy 200 self-serve kiosks across the country in the early days of next year.

Last update:

LEON announced plans to deploy more self-serve coffee kiosks throughout the United Kingdom, more than doubling its presence by the end of January of 2023. The chain has already launched 65 coffee-to-go kiosks located in EG-operated service stations as well as 33 in Asda stores across the country.

According to a report by the World Coffee Portal news site, the EG Group will help the brand to launch more than 100 self-serve equipment in Asda supermarkets. In addition, the company will also deploy four kiosks at branded forecourts before the end of the year, following the initial deployment of the technology back in July.

“We continue to invest and innovate, with the intention to make LEON more accessible to more customers. Whether in our drive-thrus, restaurants, self-serve or through our grocery offer, we continue to make it easier for everybody to eat well, live well and be kind to the planet,” said Glenn Edwards, Managing Director at LEON, according to a press release published by the site.

LEON currently operates a total of 80 sites across the UK and is on track to reach 100 stores by the end of this year. The brand was acquired by EG Group back in May of 2021 for £100m and has helped the operator by driving revenue alongside other foodservice brands nationwide.
