MOL aims to establish a network of 600 service stations across Poland in five years.

The news was confirmed by Péter Ratataics, Head of Consumer Services at the Hungarian fuel retailer. Polish news agency PAP reported the news after the company opened its first rebranded service station in the country last Friday.

“Realistically, we would like to have 600 stations in Poland,” said Ratatics. The recently inaugurated sites are part of the company’s acquisition of retail outlets from PKN Orlen and Grupa Lotos. Full rebranding of the 410 stations acquired will take two years, as the company representative described.

The deal was closed back in November, when the three companies agreed on the sale of the service station network consisting of a USD 610 million deal.
