Virši has opened its first standalone convenience store in Latvia’s capital, Riga. As the first location of its kind operating outside of a service station, the store offers customers a wide range of products to meet the needs of city center residents and office workers.

This is the company’s second project established beyond a station, as the first one was a robot barista located at a mall that offered customers on-the-go coffee options. A wide range of hot meals, vegetarian and vegan products, as well as sweet and hearty dishes are offered at the recently opened site.

“This project is our second step beyond the traditional service station format to be closer to our customers and offer their favorite coffees, meals and other everyday essentials. In a modern shopping environment, shoppers will find a specially selected range of products, including a wide selection of goods from Latvian manufacturers. This concept has great potential, so we will continue to offer new stores and solutions,” said Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Board at Virši.

With the opening of the new concept store, the company is also expanding and modernizing its service station network. Upgrades include newly built stores and renovations with spacious premises for stations. All new sites will sport a modern design and a full range of services and facilities.
