Q&A: “UNITI expo’s Future Mobility Lounge will showcase all technologies”

We speak to Ben Boroewitsch, CEO of com-a-tec GmbH and responsible for exhibitor acquisition at UNITI expo, as well as some key suppliers, about the trade fair’s new Future Mobility Lounge.

Q. What will be included in the Future Mobility Lounge?

A. Located at the gallery of Hall 1 and the entrance to Hall 3, the Future Mobility Lounge will serve as a hub for innovation drivers, associations and manufacturers to push forward the new mobility paradigm. Professionals from the industry will be able to show their products and discuss ideas around electric vehicles, alternative fuels and new forms of mobility. There will also be a forum more focused on Germany that will explore trends and regulations.

Q. Why did you decide to change from the Alternative Fuel Pavilion to this new concept?

A. We need more space dedicated to the theme of cleaner mobility. The new area is three times the size and will let many more players showcase their solutions. The transportation sector is facing tremendous changes – UNITI expo wants to help service stations navigate those waters. We have prepared attractive packages for technology suppliers to come and join us at the Future Mobility Lounge.

Q. What type of exhibitors are you expecting to bring the Future Mobility Lounge?

A. We would like to have representation from all corners of a complete multi-energy station – EV chargers, hydrogen, CNG, LNG, methanol, biofuels, and e-fuels, which the UNITI association is actively promoting. This a challenging time for retailers as they make significant investment to upgrade their sites. At UNITI expo they can find all the solutions in one place. There’s lots of companies that have already shown an interest in presenting their innovative solutions.

Q. There is just over 3 months until UNITI expo 2024. What is the current situation of bookings? How can companies participate in the Future Mobility Lounge?

A. Over than 90% of the main exhibition space is already booked but still have spaces in the new lounge. We have developed a concept that will allocate a high number of companies and allow future growth. The concept will let companies participate without a huge economic burden. The stands won’t have to be manned all the time, contrary to the regular booths.

“Our DNA is refueling vehicles. The number of vehicles that require renewable fuels is rapidly growing, and we are happy to provide those options. The Alternative Fuels Pavilion at the last edition led to a high number of orders from clients. We expect to get even more from this next edition. The Future Mobility Lounge confirms the shift of UNITI expo towards sustainable mobility and emission free fuels.”
