Shell and Lekkerland are continuing their long-standing partnership for an undisclosed number of years to further develop the store business at approximately 2,000 stations throughout Germany.

The focus will be on expanding the food service offering and further developing the Shell Café store concept. Under this concept, the company has been creating a uniform brand identity for its food service offering with a coffee house atmosphere at its stations across Europe since 2021.

"Our customers' needs will change in the course of the energy and mobility transition. With Lekkerland, we are counting on a reliable partner who has been convincing us for many years in terms of product ranges and products as well as advice, service and logistics," said Jan-Hendrik Starken, Managing Director at Carissa, head of the Shell Shop business.

Lekkerland will also remain the supply partner for all product ranges offered at the service station stores. These include food service products, beverages, confectionery, tobacco products, prepaid products and car accessories.

"Together, we will continue to develop the store business, taking into account the transformation of the petrol station segment. Our common goal is to meet the trends and new consumer requirements in the best possible way," added Patrick Steppe, CEO of Lekkerland SE.

Founded in 1902 and headquartered in Hamburg, Shell has evolved into an integrated energy company. The brand operates over 2,000 stations across the country and offers electric vehicle charging alongside hydrogen refueling at its Shell Recharge sites.
