Orlen Germany has built and commissioned two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the THW Kiel training ground in Altenholz.

A total of four vehicles can be powered at the publicly accessible chargers at the same time. Expanding the company’s e-mobility charging infrastructure alongside different partners is a strategic goal in its  sustainable journey.

Orlen and the Zebras have been partners for over ten years, with the Elmshorn-based company has also been the main and jersey sponsor of the handball champions since 2016.

"By working together with THW Kiel, we can not only place our charging points at frequented locations, but also make a contribution to promoting electromobility. We are proud to be part of this sustainable development and look forward to a continued successful partnership with THW Kiel," said Piotr Guział, Managing Director of Orlen Deutschland GmbH.

For the company and the entire Orlen Group, the expansion of e-mobility is an important strategic goal. In Germany alone, over 1,000 charging points are to be installed over the next three years, with plans for 3,000 by 2030.
