ryd brings in-car payment to Italy

By partnering with the Assopetroli-Assoenergia association, allowing members to enable the service at their locations throughout the country.

ryd is launching in-car payments in Italy through a new partnership with Assopetroli-Assoenergia, the association of 12,000 independent service stations in the country.

This expansion enables convenient in-car payments in one of Europe's leading fuel markets, with the first locations to be operational before the end of the year. With more than 20,000 service stations, the country not only plays a crucial role in the company's European expansion strategy, but is also a key market for car manufacturers.

This partnership underlines ryd's commitment to Italy as a strategic market and highlights its pioneering role in the introduction of new automotive and fuel technologies.

"The partnership with Assopetroli-Assoenergia is a win-win situation for all parties involved: association members get access to our in-car payment service, ryd taps into an important market that has proven to be open to change, and customers get to enjoy a convenient payment solution," said Thomas Kempf, Director Mobility & Sales at ryd.

In addition to fuel payments, the supplier also enables payments for laundry and electric vehicle charging, which will be implemented later this year.
