The retailer has partnered with Meituan Drones to allow customers to have over 3,000 products eligible for drone delivery.

Last update:

Guangdong 7-Eleven and Meituan Drone have reached a cooperation agreement to enable drone delivery services.

Customers will be able to select from over 3,000 different products at the drone landing site in the Xinghe commercial circle in Longgang, Shenzhen. Items can be delivered to the landing site in as little as 4 minutes after being boxed.

In the future, with more stores online, the service will cover scenic spots, colleges and universities and other more scenes.

Guangdong 7-Eleven already operates more than 1,700 stores in 13 cities of the Guangdong province. Through this cooperation, the retailer can rely on its partner’s expertise to reshape the "social distance" with consumers.

Via this innovation, the delivery process is no longer affected by road factors, delivery efficiency is higher, and in the future, it can also penetrate into scenic spots and other new locations, to better meet the needs of consumers.
